This page explains, in plain language, what data INSTACAM uses, why we use it, and what controls you have. We keep this policy practical and readable on purpose.
Information we collect
- Account data: email, username, age confirmation, and optional profile fields.
- Technical/session data: device type, app/browser version, connection diagnostics, and fraud-prevention signals.
- Safety data: reports, blocked users list, and moderation outcomes.
- Support data: emails and issue history when you contact us.
How we use data
We use data to run the service, secure accounts, personalize matching, and investigate abuse. We also use aggregated analytics to improve onboarding and reduce failed sessions.
We do not sell personal profile data to third parties. Some infrastructure partners process data on our behalf under contractual safeguards.
Your controls
You can update profile details, request account deletion, or ask for a copy of your personal data. Most requests are processed within 30 days.
To submit a privacy request, email [email protected] from your account email and include "Privacy Request" in the subject line.
Data retention
We retain account records for as long as your account is active. After deletion requests, we remove or anonymize personal data, except when retention is required for legal, anti-fraud, or safety reasons.
Safety-related records may be retained for up to 12 months to prevent repeat abuse.
